Tom Trainer is a well-recognized and awarded leader in the business technology field. As EVP and CIO-in-Residence of BTM Corporation, Mr. Trainer leverages his 40+ years of experience in many of the world’s largest organizations to work with BTM’s customer base.
Previously as PepsiCo's Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, he led the company's 2,300-member information technology organization, PepsiCo Business Solutions Group (PBSG), where he had an annual operating budget of $1.4B. He was responsible for all technology decisions and operations, and worked in collaboration with PepsiCo's division leaders to drive business growth and competitive advantage by leveraging information technology across the company.
Throughout the course of his 40-year career, he has helped bring the likes of Citigroup, Eli Lilly and Company, Reebok International, and Joseph E. Seagram and Sons to the forefront of their industries. His long list of credits include receipt of InformationWeek's CIO of the Year award for his IT stewardship of Reebok's global business process redesign, tribute in CIO magazine's 10th anniversary issue as "Quintessential CIO" for his vision and leadership, recipient of “The Albert Einstein Award for Information Technology,” and inclusion as a select member of specialized industry and government task forces such as the President's Council for "United States Strategic Infrastructure in 21st Century" and the Center for Strategic International Studies (CSIS).
Mr. Trainer lectures internationally on business and technology issues, having shared the agenda of 1998's "World Congress of Information Technology" with globally prominent leaders such as Margaret Thatcher, Mikhail Gorbachev, Steve Forbes, Michael Dell, Larry Ellison, and Scott McNealy. He is often featured in top business and trade publications including, BusinessWeek, Forbes, Fortune, The Financial Times, CIO Magazine and InformationWeek, and has also been profiled on CBS's "American Edition" and CNBC's "Technology Edge" television broadcast programs.
He is a contributing author on The Alignment Effect (Financial Times/Prentice Hall; August 23, 2002) and a co-author of Winning The 3-Legged Race (BTM Institute/Prentice Hall, November 8, 2005). |

Stu Winby is Founder and Executive Managing
Partner of Sapience –Silicon Valley, a strategy and organizational
consulting firm, and Managing Partner of InnovationPoint, a
strategic innovation firm- both headquartered in the Silicon
Valley. He works with large industrial companies
as well as Silicon Valley start-ups in strategy, organization,
and innovation management areas. Current and recent projects
have included Microsoft, Visa, Yahoo, Kimberly Clark, Alegent
Health, Cisco, Proctor & Gamble, Analog Devices, and the
US Navy.
Previous to Sapience and Innovation
Point, Stu was Executive Director / General Manager of Strategy
and Organization at HP. His work at HP has been documented
in numerous books, articles and professional journals. Several
Harvard Business School Cases have been written on projects
he has managed and consulted to, as well as numerous case studies
documented by the Conference Board.
Before joining HP, Stu was Vice-President
for Advisory Services at the American Productivity Center (APC). He
has consulted in a wide variety of manufacturing and service
industries, in the public sector, and in countries in the five
major regions. Consulting has included companies
in health care, packaged goods, hi-technology, oil and gas,
utilities, steel, automotive, aluminum and chemical, airlines,
financial, aerospace industries.

Rick Smith, Principal of Maverick Healthcare Consulting,
has provided a broad scope of services to the health care provider
industry (hospitals, academic medical centers, IDNs, and specialty
hospitals), including: quality management, strategic growth
planning and implementation, operations management, profitability
restoration, capital financing, mergers & acquisitions,
new product and service design and implementation, organization
structure development, governance systems, and expert witness
testimony.
For Maverick Healthcare Consulting, Rick specializes
in quality management, strategy, operations and financial consulting
with an emphasis on implementation.
Prior to joining the Maverick Healthcare Consulting,
Rick served as EVP for Cerner Consulting, where he was responsible
for all aspects of clinical information system implementation
as well as value-added transformation services.
Rick spent 27 years at Deloitte Consulting
and, as a Partner, held a variety of leadership positions,
including serving as National Partner in Charge of services
to Health Care Providers, and leading the Global cross-industry
practices for Finance, Operations and Strategy.
Rick earned his Bachelor’s in Economics
and his M.B.A. in Finance from Tulane University. |
